@@kingofnewyork8092I honestly can't give Omalley round 3. He had one big moment but that's it. The rest of the round is him trying to survive Petr after getting countered. Yan lands 3 clean counters after he gets kneed. And another super clean counter after that grappling sequence. Can we agree that 4 clean counters is just as good as a knee and a blocked head kick? If we can agree ATLEAST that they did equal damage there then Yan wins this round no question. If Sean had dropped Yan with the knee it would be a totally different story. But none of them got dropped and Petr outlanded and outwrestled Sean that whole round.

As a fan of O’Malley I’m not sure how the hell he won that fight. He maybe defended ONE takedown? And got taken down idk how many times, easily. Plus Yan landed huge counters and punches of his own PLUS perfect leg kicks. Yan did everything right but got caught with a few big shots. That was about it. This is crazy. Even Sean knew he lost before the decision was announced

Takedowns mean absolutely nothing if they didn’t lead to damage dummy, so that being said they according to your logic they both just got caught by a few big strikes???

Because petr didn't do anything with the takedowns. Sean was actually threatening submissions from his back. Plus he damaged petr way more. Busted his whole head open.

I've watched this 3 times... the last being very attentive to actual strikes, damage, control, aggressiveness... Petr wins every time. More take-downs, more damaging strikes, more control, more aggressive... I like Sean as a fighter, but is sure looks like he was given this win to keep his star rising.

The thing is look at where they’re at now. O’Malley is the champ and just defended his belt, while Peter is fighting to just get back into contention after losing 2 fights. There’s reasoning behind this decision and as they say “ball don’t lie”

А ці тейкдауни, які робив китаэць Ян ні дочого не призводили в партері 11:00 ось так він працював в партері …… і тейкдауни він робив , коли програвав в стійці , просто падав ноги та тримався за них 😂 чим подовше .

I mean, Sean started round 2 strong and hurt Yan badly. It's just that for some weird reason the normally very mobile Sean just stood in front of Yan like a statue and got hit hard badly which turned that round and ultimately had Yan clearly win it. But Sean clearly won round 3 and round 1 was close and it seems no one can for sure call a winner in round 1 which is exactly why it's such a controversial decision but never a robbery it's way too close for that.

Even when he ate the knee and the 8 significant punches apart from his with 3 significant punches landed and takedowns which he did nothing with. Dude was point fighting and let it go to the judges cause he wasn't confident in his striking. Why was it even that close on paper? This just makes the second fight that much more interesting

See I felt the exact opposite. I watched it originally and was like... Yan won that, bad decision in rewatching it: Rd1: Sean edged Yan out, it was minor, but he had WAY more strikes, those jabs add up. Rd2: Clear Yan win Rd3: Damage done clearly on Sean's side. Takedowns for Yan, but he didn't do meaningful damage with it. Sean and him traded well, but Sean ended with the most strikes and most damaging strikes by a fairly wide margin. Sean barely wins 3. Two major additional points. Yan had a few big hits because he swings so wide and so hard when he does land it looks bad, but Sean almost always shrugs it off (with one exception). Sean hit him so many times with that jab, and although it doesnt look like much it adds up. Thats why Yan's face exploded. Blood rushing to his face because of the hemoragging from the jab. You can see at the end his face is swollen af. If this had gone 5 Yan would have been knocked out for sure, he was becoming more desperate with wild haymakers in rd 3, taking Sean down and doing nothing with it damage-wise. Someone said up top - fortunately the lay and pray is dead in UFC. If you take someone down and do jack shit with it it doesnt matter as much as before. Close fight either way, but watching it months out now I can see a minor Sean edge.

The last time i watched this fight i saw sean winning 1 and 3 but on rewatch i feel like yan landed slightly more significant and damaging strikes in the third even though he got cut by the knee, but its definitely not a robbery. Super close fight

After rewatching i gave round 2 and 3 to Yan. Round 2 was a clear Yan round. Round 3 Sean landed 2 big knees and a head kick, but Yan landed 5 big counter punches that rocked and snapped Sean's head like a pinball. Sean had more sig strikes in round 3 than Yan, but Yan cracked and bright as day hurt Omalley more times so that and the takedowns made it a clear Yan round. Even the knees Sean landed in round 3 didnt get a visible reaction out of Yan despite slicing Yan open badly. Round 1 was the closest round and the only round I gave to Sean, but an argument could be made for Yan winning the round since he had more sig strikes and the damage or lack thereof was pretty even. Round 2 and round 3 were similar in the sense that Omalley hurt Petr only for Petr to return fire and hurt Omalley more and worse. Overall i'd say this shouldve been a decisive Yan victory. A competitive fight, but a clear winner.

Idk man I think round 1 is clearly Sean 2 is clearly yan and Sean barely wins in round 3, he was active the whole round he was constantly landing jabs on Petr and splitting his guard with the right hand. Yan had 3 big counters and he had some takedowns but the only time he did any damage to suga on the ground in round 3 was in the last 10 seconds, so yeah tbh I feel like what wins Sean the fight was when he cut petr then kicked him if u look close yan was hurt bad he dove for the legs instantly when he got kicked so yeah I have it 29-28 suga

The contrast in judging is crazy. Yan had 6 takedowns, did some dmg on the ground, and was strike for strike with big moments, and over a round of control time spread across 15 mins. But loses. Then fast forward to Strickland v DDP, DDP eats jabs the entire time, lands a couple takedowns with no real control time or any dmg, goes strike for strike but does significantly less dmg, no real huge moments the whole fight, and wins.

сегодня полностью посмотрел, ранее не видел, только фрагменты, особенно часто с сечкой и даже было склонятся, что Ян не потянул. Сейчас солидарен с тем, что судьи смотрели другой бой. Явное ограбление. Вообше никакого преимущества О Мэлли не было , только сечка и один раз потряс и то без нокдауна даже. Весь бой Петр и гонял его и валял, хоть и очень близкий был, но точно победой сахарка не тянет. Просто вели к титулу

второй да, вот первый хз, по мне так сложно оценить, мне в первом больше о`мэлли понравился: ударка у него видно почище чем у яна, а также показал что не просто так имеет черный пояс по бжж и тейкдауны делал и защита в гарде хороша.

Ян 2-1. Ян забрал 1,2 раунды. Шон забрал 3 из-за урона, этой сечки , колена жесткого. За Яном больше чистых попаданий, тейкдауны делал и контролировал.

ты как считаешь? 1 раунд легко можно отдать Сахарку, петя по сути просто шел вперед без ударов, пассивно, и плюс тейкдаун в концовке, раунд украл, 2 раунд с натяжкой пете, и 3 раунд также Сахарку, 2-1 изи для Шона. Тем более что он высокий, длинный , с быстрыми руками, он очень неудобный для маленького пети.

Honestly though a really entertaining fight glad it happened. Sean proved he can be in there with guys like Yan. Although, i did feel rounds 1 and 2 should have went to Yan and he should have won, it was still a competitive fight for both.

Если Ян уверенно заберёт победу, без вопросов отдадут) визуально по крайней мере 3 раунд выглядел ( в день боя) как победа Яна, первый спорно, но скорее в пользу Петра, а второй соответственно за ним. Это плохое решение, но никак не предвзятое решение. То, что Ян любимец американской публики, даже говорить нет смысла

sean landed 84 sig. strikes to yans 58 and sean had 63 head strikes to yans 24. as the rule book states damage triumphs all and yan didnt do anything with his takedowns bc o malley was getting up after and even attempting subs from the bottom.

Everyone has round 2 Yan, round 3- Sean. The deciding round is R1 and I give it to Yan. Both were pretty much equal on the strikes but I give the advantage to Yan because of the takedowns and control. I do not believe Sean out struck Yan in R1. Even though the numbers may say so, if you actually have eyes you can see a decent amount of Sean's strikes were blocked by Yan's high guard.

Sean did much more damage, Petr had more controll. One guy walked away with his face looking like a Pokemon ball, the other walked away with some bruises and sore jaw.

Sean didn't do a lot more damage , he just bloodied Petr from that knee , If we count the two biggest shots in the fight Petr is the one who remained in control after his shot , had more control overall and finished the fight on top punching Sean ( not even counting the takedowns ) , even Sean was surprised when they called him a winner at the end , robbery.

Первые два раунда Петр забрал чисто, 3-й спорный. Да не справедливо. Но к Шону не испытаваю никакого негатива. Бойцы показали великолепный, очень техничный бой. Шон невероятно спасался от тейкдаунов, а Петр явно поднял скилл в ударке, так четко и красиво ловить в контрударах. Удачи и здоровья обоим бойцам.

after rewatching, sean won rd1, yan rd2, and rd3 was razor close, could have gone either way. o malley cut yan open early round 3 and turned him into a wrestler after the headkick. yan got good control time after that headkick and landed some good shots of his own. super super close 29-28 that couldve gone either way

Очень близкий бой, думаю ничья была бы справедливой, но Юфс нужно было продвигать О Мэлли к титульнику Ян уже два раза бился с Стерлингом поэтому наверное отдали предпочтение Сахарку но жёстким ограблением этот бой я бы не назвал, Сахарок явно бился от души, такое ощущение было что Чн не вывозил в стойке и спасался в борьбе

Gran pelea, vi ganar a Yan, la volví a ver y estoy seguro que ganó Yan. O’Malley me sorprendió para bien, fué dominado en la pelea pero demostró tener temple. Так что ему мешало забрать уверенно, с явной доминацией? Тут близкий бой по факту, ограблением это не назовешь. Ограбление это Гордон - Пэдди Пимблетт, вот там действительно позорище, а тут в любую сторону можно было дать. Забрал бы Петр 3 раунд, или показал бы в 1 что-то кроме контроля, никто бы его не ограбил

Да, у Омэйли были моменты, но Пётр все вернул. Затем Пётр, борол его, инициатива была за Петром. Я до сих пор понять не могу, за что отдали победу Омэйли? За красивые косички? 😂. У Петра только один раунд под вопросом, это первый. И то, инициатива и переводы за Яном. Очень ооо очень странное решение судей.
